How to use an experience card and an experience package?

Each card helps you solve one daily eating challenge. Because real life is so unpredictable, think of cards as a source of inspiration. Make them fit your needs and wishes. Nothing is set in stone. Experiment, play and tell us what worked for you.

 

Experience packages include several cards that, when combined, may help you solve your daily challenges for a common life scenario, such as a stressful week or going on vacation. They work well together, but each card also works well on its own. You should give each package a two-week trial period. This provides you with enough time and a good pace to hold yourself accountable. You can try as many cards as you want in these two weeks, depending on how much time or energy you have available. Of course, if you do more, you can expect more, but some weeks allow for little progress, which is also fine.

What does a childhood weightloss journey at NodietXP look like?

You know your child best, but you can’t seem to figure out why they eat less on some days and a lot more on others. Our nodiet experience packages for children not only give you ideas for things to try, but also alternatives for each type of day a child has. They may be difficult to wake up at times, but that is okay because you can have a nutritious quick breakfast in the car. If they trade sweets without your knowledge at school, you can learn to trust each other by establishing a set of ground rules to follow, such as eating only one or two sweet meals per day. When they are at school, they are the boss, and you can tell them to stop eating at dinner if they eat too much. Children will gain experiential knowledge of how to control their food intake as a result of these tricks and tips. They will eat fewer portions and lose weight.

 

Why is this weightloss with nodiet experiences different from a diet?

Using our experiences, children can learn how to eat in a variety of situations. They will learn to eat at school, before a sporting event, or when going out socially, for example, so that they are not hungry a few hours later. These situations will not be resolved with emphasizing limitations but by transforming each situation into a good experience. Instead of forcing them to eat breakfast, they can play the ace and skip it a few times a week, or they can try an Icelandic breakfast for fun. If their parents want to get them more involved in cooking, they can try miniature Japanese cooking. If they do not adhere to a restriction, they will not count calories or go on a guilt trip. They will gradually assume responsibility for their own eating, but only to the extent permitted by their age and emotional maturity. Losing weight in this manner will cause far less frustration for your child and friction between you and them. These experiences will count as small victories and moments of joy in your daily routine.

What is the average weight loss with NodietXP?

What is healthy weight loss for adults is not always healthy weight loss for children. There are two alternatives. On the one hand, minor overweight can be resolved by simply allowing your child to maintain their weight for 6-12 months and grow into their height. If, on the other hand, your child is classified as obese by medical standards, a weight loss of 2-4 pounds per month may be sustainable in the long run without negatively impacting your child’s healthy development. Our experience packages can be used to achieve both weight loss levels.

However, before making a decision, you must have your child medically examined by a doctor to determine the extent of your child’s obesity and whether additional examinations and/or treatment are required. In any case, the weight loss strategy must be regularly updated to account for age-related physiological changes and growth spurts. The doctor should decide whether or not nodiet experience cards can be used in this strategy. Weight loss in children (and adults) will not be linear; it will speed up at times and slow down at others. Parents should be patient with the process because children are more susceptible to emotional ups and downs, but that is exactly how a heartfelt childhood should be.

 

What will I do ?

You and your child can choose from a variety of experience packages every two weeks (and further cards). Some will be suggested to you based on your previous choices. If you previously selected “First Steps to Better Eating for the Family,” you could now choose “Stressful weeks for my child” or “A temporary setback” to proceed.

If you decide to start a health journey, you can purchase a membership for a specific health goal (e.g. weight loss). Every two weeks, you can choose one experience package (and further cards), that have been personally recommended to you. For example, if you previously selected “Busier than usual,” you could now select “Stressful weeks” or “Give me a break” to continue. This is how you can make progress even when life throws unexpected turns at you. A membership also allows you to join the community and browse cards created by others for life experiences that may be similar to yours.

How to create my own experience cards?

You can make an experience card to remember a special occasion or to share your own tried-and-true tips and tricks with family, friends, and coworkers.
